The Berlin-Dahlem Botanical Garden and Botanical Museum is a botanical garden in the German capital city of Berlin, with an area of 43 hectares and around 22,000 different plant species.
The garden was constructed between 1897 and 1910. The best-known part of the garden is the Great Pavilion (Das Große Tropenhaus). The temperature inside is maintained at 30 °C and air humidity is kept high. Among the many tropical plants it hosts a giant bamboo.

Spectacular canyons cut deep into sandstone and even granite–gneiss–schist rock formations, in some areas. This is an area of semi-desert land high on the Colorado Plateau, with pinion and juniper forests on the plateau.

"Little Gnoms everywhere"

This little State Park is situated some miles away from the main touristic route from the Capitol Reef National Park to Arches NP and Canyonlands NP. Nevertheless it´s worth the travel because you find a lot of little goblins with different shapes and you can walk inside this magical wonderworld.

Capitol Reef National Park is a United States National Park, in south-central Utah. It is 100 miles (160 km) long but fairly narrow. The park, established in 1971, preserves 378 mi² (979 km²) and is open all year. "Capitol Reef" is the name of an especially rugged and spectacular segment of the Waterpocket Fold near the Fremont River.

This route is a Utah-connection from the Bryce Canyon National Park to the North-East Capitol Reef National Park. You drive through a unique landscape which is typical for Utah.

This little State Park beneath the Bryce Canyon National Park has rocks in different lightful colours mostly with a deep blue sky. Therefore in 1948 a visitor group of the National Geographic Society gives the name for this park in cooperation with Kodak.

Suddenly you stay at the viewpoint and have a perfect auditorium in front of you. Not only staying on top, also looking from the bottom between the loose rocks and trees make this National Park so beautiful. Bryce Canyon is named after Ebenezer Bryce, who homesteaded in the area in 1874. He once said: ‚It's a hell of a place to lose a cow. ..."

"A City between Red Rocks and Cold Water"

Page was created in 1957 to house workers and their families during the construction of nearby Glen Canyon Dam on the Colorado River. After the dam  was completed in the 1960s, the city grew steadily to today's population of 6,800. Page has become the gateway to the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Lake Powell, attracting more than 3 million visitors per year.

One of the best spots for photographer in Arizona. The very small canyon is only a few hundred feets long. But every 5 steps you can see another spectacular view. Simply gorgeous!!!

When you drive the Highway 89A from Kanab to Page, you come to the marvellous Navajo Bridge. Short distance before you reach the Lee´s Ferry Road which leeds you to Lee´s Ferry, the starting point of the Grand Canyons Raftings. Along the street you can see some rocks which reminds you at oversized mushrooms.








"Beautiful colours in a hot surrounding" - Part 2

This little State Park is in our opinion the park with the most colourful rocks in the United States Unfortunately the State Park live up to one's name ... it was 112°F (45°C). So a lot of things we couldn´t do. Have a look on our US-Trip in 2010 (-coming soon-). There was a "cool" 86°F (30°C).









"Beautiful colours in a hot surrounding" - Part 1

This little State Park is in our opinion the park with the most colourful rocks in the United States Unfortunately the State Park live up to one's name ... it was 112°F (45°C). So a lot of things we couldn´t do. Have a look on our US-Trip in 2010 (-coming soon-). There was a "cool" 86°F (30°C).









"The Twins over Marble Canyon"

Navajo Bridge crosses the Colorado River's Marble Canyon near Lee's Ferry in the U.S. state of Arizona. There are 2 bridges: The old one with 834 feet (254 m) in length, with a maximum height of 467 feet (142 m) from the canyon floor. The new steel arch bridge was completed in September 1995 and is 909 feet (277m) in length.

The Golden Gate Bridge is not only the most popular place to commit suicide in the United States but the most popular in the entire world. The deck is approximately 245 feet (75 m) above the water. After a fall of approximately four seconds, jumpers hit the water at some 76 miles per hour (122 km/h). At such a speed, water has proven to take on properties similar to concrete.

Get your kicks on Route 66. Give me more at Hackberry Store ....If you can arrange it, make a stop at the beautiful Hackberry General Store.You won´t regret it. I waited the whole time that Elvis will come out of the store and ask me if I wanna have some gaz.

The Garden of the Gods was our first meeting with red rocks. Its situated in the west of Colorado Springs. On the nice loop you can see a lot of really red rocks, green meadows and white mountains.
