"When it is night in the city" - Part 2

Night Time | Berlin | Germany | 2011-08
For a long time I want to do night shots from Berlin. Everytime during my last years visits in Berlin something has come up. So I started at the Oberbaum Bridge for sunset photos. Unfortunatly there were a lot of clouds, so the twilight hour was cancelled.

Britzer Garden | Berlin | Germany | 2011-08
The Britzer Garden, a large park in the south of Berlin, was designated after the local part Britz of Berlin's borough Neukoelln. It was constructed for the Bundesgartenschau 1985, in order to provide a new landscape park to the citizens in the southeast of West-Berlin, who were at that time cut off from the surrounding countryside. The park covers an area of 90 hectares and offers nature and garden architecture (rose garden, rhododendron woods), playgrounds, lakes and hills as well as multicolored flower patches. Mitte | Berlin | Germany | 2011-08
It was a wonderful summer day mid of august 2011. We visited the inner city of Berlin. It was a great happening around the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag with music and fun. Here are some pics from that afternoon.

"The Blue Box in the heart of Berlin"

Humboltbox | Berlin | Germany | 2011-08
The Humboldt Box is a futuristic museum structure on the Schloßplatz in the center of Berlin. It was built as a temporary exhibition space and viewing platform for the Berlin Palace - Humboldt Forum construction project and to inform the public about its future use. As well here are some pics of my favourite viewpoint at the Alexanderplace: The TV Tower, the Church Tower and the street lamp.

Known for most of its operational life as Royal Air Force Station Gatow, or more commonly RAF Gatow, this former British Royal Air Force military airbase is in the district of Gatow in south-western Berlin. It was the base for the only known operational use of flying boats in central Europe. Part of the former airfield is now home to the Luftwaffenmuseum der Bundeswehr, the German Air Force Museum. "Where you can stroke fishes"

Aquarium | Berlin | Germany | 2011-08
Beneath the Zoological Garden there is the building of the Berlin Aquarium. You can see a lot of fishes in their pools but it was tricky to take pictures because of the darkness of the exhibition. In the top levels of the Aquarium there are the reptils and here it is better to photograph.
