Frankfurt Airport | Frankfurt | Germany | 2012-10
My department made in Oktober 2012 a trip to Frankfurt Airport. We took part in a 90-minute-guidance over the movement area.

Run by transport company Fraport, Frankfurt Airport is by far the busiest airport by passenger traffic in Germany, the third busiest in Europe (after London Heathrow Airport and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport) and the ninth busiest worldwide in 2011. Passenger traffic at Frankfurt Airport in 2011 was 56.4 million. As of winter 2011/2012, Frankfurt Airport serves the most international destinations in the world, serving 275 destinations in 111 countries. Origin:wikipedia.

"The never-ending story of the Berlin Airport" - Part 3

Tegel Airport | Berlin | Germany | 2012-06
Regarding the former plans of the move of the Berlin Airports, the airport Tegel should have been closed and no airports would be seen on my pictures…. BUT …. Again the moving was hold off on a later date. So I could again visit the Visitors terrace in Tegel.

"West-Berlins heartbeat during the Cold War" - Part 2

Gatow Airport | Berlin | Germany | 2011-08
Known for most of its operational life as Royal Air Force Station Gatow, or more commonly RAF Gatow, this former British Royal Air Force military airbase is in the district of Gatow in south-western Berlin. It was the base for the only known operational use of flying boats in central Europe. Part of the former airfield is now home to the Luftwaffenmuseum der Bundeswehr, the German Air Force Museum.
