Zoo | Berlin | Germany | 2013-03
Like every year, we spent a few days around Easter in Berlin. This year, however. not in a Spring capital but in a winter sports capital. But not only snow was exciting. The temperatures were near -10 degrees Celsius.
Here are some photos from the Zoological Garden in Berlin.

"The largest cemetery in Berlin - 'In den Kisseln'"
In den Kisseln | Cemetery | Berlin | Germany | 2012-11
As I stayed for some days in autumn 2012 in Berlin, I visited the cemetery "In den Kisseln" in Berlin-Spandau. This cemetery is the largest one in Berlin. It was opened in 1886. One of the currently buried persons is Thomas Dörflein, a zoo keeper, the "father" of the well-known icebear Knut.

Sacrow Cemetery | Berlin | Germany | 2012-08
Some hundred meters away from the Sacrow Castle and the Sacrow Church there is an old cemetery: The Sacrow Cemetery. It is not big, only some graves, but it has a silent atmosphere.

"A campanile in Berlin"
Heilandskirche | Berlin | Germany | 2012-08
The Protestant Church of the Redeemer (German: Heilandskirche) is located in the south of the village of Sacrow, which since 1939 is incorporated to Potsdam, the capital of the German Bundesland of Brandenburg. It is famous for its Italian Romanesque Revival architecture with a separate campanile (bell tower) and for its localization. It has been built in 1844.
Origin: wikipedia. Unfortunatly the Bell Tower was wrapped because of work.

Regarding the former plans of the move of the Berlin Airports, the airport Tegel should have been closed and no airports would be seen on my pictures…. BUT …. Again the moving was hold off on a later date. So I could again visit the Visitors terrace in Tegel.

Night Time | Berlin | Germany | 2011-08
For a long time I want to do night shots from Berlin. Everytime during my last years visits in Berlin something has come up. So I started at the Oberbaum Bridge for sunset photos. Unfortunatly there were a lot of clouds, so the twilight hour was cancelled.
