"A white nipple on the hill" - Part 3
Timeos Stavros | Damnoni | Crete | Greece | 2011-06
In Summer 2011 we stayed for about 4 weeks on Crete/Greece near Plakias. We had an appartment in the Hapimag-Complex in Damnoni. Nearby is the Timeos Stavros, a hill with a little church on top of it. It is an exhausting walk to the top, but you have a gorgious panoramique view. The second walk with my family.

"2 dolphins are building the city emblem" - Part 3
Rethymno | Crete | Greece | 2011-06
Rethymno is a city of approximately 40,000 people in Greece, the capital of Rethymno regional unit on the island of Crete. It was built in antiquity (ancient Rhithymna and Arsinoe), but was never a competitive Minoan centre. It was, however, strong enough to mint its own coins and maintain urban growth. One of these coins is today depicted as the crest of the town with two dolphins in a circle. Origin: wikipedia
